The Illinois State Fairgrounds has long-been considered one of the premier horse show facilities in the country and Mid-American Horse Show Association is pleased to host the Mane Event Horse Show at the Fairgrounds again this year.

Since 2009, The Mid-America Mane Event Horse Show has hosted the prestigious Good Hands Finals. The Good Hands Finals originated at the National Horse Show at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1929,  subsequently moving to the Meadowlands in New Jersey, the Pennsylvania National in Harrisburg, PA and then to Mane Event Horse  Show in Springfield, Illinois.

The Mid-America Series Championship is a competition offered to Mid-America Members. It is a special competition within the regular Mane Event show competition.To qualify for this championship, a horse must have been shown at both Mid-America Spring Fling Horse Show and Mid-America Signature Horse Show. The Championship will be offered at the Mid-America Mane Event Horse Show.
